About 18% of the US population suffers from anxiety attacks in United States of America. Although drug therapy is often necessary and privileged, complementary approaches have more important role to play. Relaxation therapy, yoga or hypnosis can ease stress and anxiety and decrease the frequency or severity of seizures.

If sweat trickling down your forehead, palpitations, chest pain, a lump in the throat that interferes with breathing, malaise, and all this stays for about ten minutes: it is perhaps  stress and anxiety.

One thing is certain, all these symptoms may cause you to seek prompt medical attention for many diseases, including myocardial infarction. But after normal physical examination, the doctor might have concluded an anxiety attack. Basic Medical Treatment for Anxiety and Stress

Next, it is important to regain your balance.

Practice 4 yoga postures to beat stress and anxiety which includes bending forward, the child posture, butterfly and half candle postures, ideally to practice in the evening, these yoga postures provide relaxation by acting on the nervous system. With the breath and balance, yoga can be a thorough treatment of anxiety.

The ideal is to find a teacher who is with you and whose temperament is consistent with yours.

Hypnosis to Relieve Anxiety

Hypnosis allows the patient to establish a better relationship with his/her body and allowing access into non-conscious mechanisms.

As explained by Dr. Jean-Marc Benhaiem, president of the French Association for the Study of Medical Hypnosis, this state can point the causes of anxiety.

Hypnosis shows the context in which anxiety is growing and allows to change the perception. The patient becomes aware of his anxiety and learn to recognize the triggering circumstances. It may therefore he is able to avoid those circumstances.

Patient also learns to replace negative thoughts with positive emotions. In addition, learning self-hypnosis techniques allows to dispel the physical manifestations of anxiety by slowing the heart rate by practicing slow deep breaths. This approach enables a true “desensitization” to anxiety, removing most of the symptoms.
